The sanctuary is internationally recognised for rescuing, raising and rehabilitating orphaned elephants and rhinos. Many of these animals have lost their mothers due to poaching, human-wildlife conflict or other natural causes.

During the public visiting session, you will watch young elephants enjoying their milk feeds and mud baths while experienced keepers explain their individual stories and the conservation work involved in caring for them.

Learn how the elephants are nurtured and gradually prepared for eventual reintegration into the wild.
